Your information. Handled with care.
How the Phase 1 PriceYourMotor website collects and handles enquiries. This provisional policy must be approved before the service goes live.
1. Who operates the service
PriceYourMotor.com is an automotive platform in development. The legal name, business contact details and responsible data controller must be inserted and verified before launch. Contact us using the contact form for now.
2. What we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we collect the contact, vehicle, condition, location and image information you choose to provide. The hosting provider may also process technical data needed to operate and secure the website, such as IP addresses and request times.
3. Why we use it
We use submitted details to handle your enquiry, assess potential service suitability, respond to you and protect the service against abuse. The appropriate lawful basis for each processing purpose must be confirmed before launch. We do not use the enquiry form as a hidden marketing opt-in.
4. Sharing
Buyer access to enquiries is not active in Phase 1. If future buyer matching is enabled, we will update this notice and provide appropriate information about when your details may be shared with authorised buyers and service providers.
5. Storage and security
The Phase 1 enquiry form sends details, including any attached vehicle photographs, to our designated enquiries email account using our website hosting provider’s mail service. This version does not maintain a customer enquiry database or store uploaded photographs on the web server. Emails and attachments are retained by the mail provider in accordance with its own security controls. We must establish approved access, deletion and retention procedures before launch.
6. Retention
A formal retention schedule and deletion workflow must be established before live collection begins. Until approved, the website should not be publicly deployed for collecting personal data.
7. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements that apply, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to certain uses of your personal data and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Use the contact form to raise a request.
8. Cookies and analytics
See our cookie policy. No marketing analytics or advertising trackers are included in this deliverable.
9. Changes
We will update this privacy notice when services, data-sharing arrangements and legal details are finalised.
